ISCC certification for methanol: What you need to know

About this event

ISCC certification is increasingly relevant across the methanol value chain, from fuels to chemicals. As the regulatory frameworks evolve and demand for certified low-carbon products grows, understanding how ISCC works in practice has become essential.

ISCC gave a practical overview of its schemes and how they apply to methanol: the differences between ISCC EU, CORSIA and ISCC PLUS, how sustainability claims are tracked through the Registry and Credit Transfer System, and what companies need to consider for Scope 1 and Scope 3 emissions. The session covered chemicals, fuels including aviation and maritime, and industrial value chains, with an update on the Union Database.

Opened by Norbert Schmitz, Managing Director, ISCC System, and Peter Schild, Managing Director Sustainability, Proman AG.
