Methanol-to-Jet (MtJ) is emerging as one of the most closely watched pathways in sustainable aviation fuel. In July 2026, methanol was qualified as an approved feedstock under ASTM D7566, clearing the way for MtJ to be used as jet fuel. With technology providers scaling up and the first commercial projects taking shape, attention is now turning to what it will take to bring MtJ to market at scale.
Organised by MI and DNV, this session will move from project development and technology readiness to certification, policy support and airline offtake. Bringing together leading voices from across the aviation and methanol industries, the webinar will look at the projects and technologies leading the way, the lessons emerging from early developments, where the key barriers remain, and what is needed to unlock investment and scale deployment.
